The Grudge and Fatal Frame: Exploring Japan's Most Haunted Himuro Mansion

Camp Scott Girl Scout Murders Mayes County, Oklahoma

This 1907 Historic Victorian Mansion in Guthrie, Oklahoma with four floors including a basement and an area of about 8,000 square feet is now a Bed and Breakfast but it has a long and creepy history filled with dead bodies, ghosts and hauntings.

The home which at the time cost about five times the average was built by Fred Houghton for his family that included 12 children. Mr. Houghton's daughter, who was battling Whooping Cough, died at the age of 7 or 8 years old when her nanny accidentally gave her too much cough medicine which at the time commonly contained Opium and Codeine. It is said that Mr. and Mrs. Houghton later died in the home as well.

In 1929 the property was leased to Ray and Rachel Smith where it was used for Smith-Gooch Funeral Home. Mr. Smith's partner, Gooch, only stayed with him for about four months, and in 1936 Smith bought and moved to the current location at 220 North First Street in Guthrie according to their website.

In 1986, the property was purchased by Becky Luker who renovated it and turned it into the first bed and breakfast in Oklahoma. After struggling to get customers, she decided to start offering a Murder Mystery Dinner Experience. The Inn is decorated with various creepy items of significance including the original embalming table that was used by the funeral home. It has been said that visitors to the Inn have reported many strange happenings often involving the ghost of a little girl. While some guests told of being tucked into bed by what looked like a little girl, others say they were awakened by being softly patted on their face. Several guests have heard a child playing in the hallway or running up and down the stairs when there were no children staying there. There have also been reports of visitors seeing a gentleman wearing a suit with a top hat as well as smelling the aroma of a cigar even though smoking is not allowed.

The Grudge and Fatal Frame are two popular horror classics that draw inspiration from Japanese folklore and mythology. But did you know that they both share a common location: the Himuro Mansion? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to explore a haunted house in Japan? Well, we did it for you! In this video, we are the first ones to ever conduct a ghost investigation in the Yura Mansion, a creepy villa that looks like it came straight out of a horror movie. The Yura Mansion is not just any haunted house. It has a rich and dark history that dates back to 1910. It was once the home of Asajiro Yura, a famous and wealthy Japanese businessman who was involved in the dye industry, the war efforts, and the government. He died in 1964, leaving behind his family and his secrets. Some people claim that he was part of the conspiracy to attack Pearl Harbor, and that he discussed the plan inside his mansion. Others say that his family was cursed, and that they moved out after losing one of their children to a mysterious illness. Since then, the mansion has been abandoned and shunned by the locals, who believe it is haunted by evil spirits.

We decided to take the risk and venture into the mansion at night, armed with our cameras, flashlights, and ghost hunting equipment. What we found inside was shocking and terrifying. You won’t believe what we captured on tape! Watch our video to see our paranormal adventure in the Yura Mansion, Japan’s most haunted place. Historic and Haunted Stone Lion Inn Guthrie, Oklahoma

In the summer of 1977, the tranquility of Camp Scott, a Girl Scout camp nestled in the woods of Oklahoma, was shattered by a horrific crime. Three young girls, excited for a summer of fun and adventure, were brutally killed on their very first night at camp. The shocking incident sent ripples of fear and disbelief across the nation, forever tainting the innocence of childhood camping trips.

The authorities launched a massive manhunt, combing through every inch of the camp and its surrounding areas in search of the perpetrator. Despite their best efforts, the case quickly turned cold, leaving a cloud of uncertainty and unanswered questions hanging over Camp Scott.

Evidence was collected, suspects were questioned, and a trial was held, but the mystery of who committed the heinous act remained unsolved. The case, known as the Oklahoma Girl Scout Murders, has since become one of the most infamous unsolved crimes in American history.

This video delves deep into the chilling events of that fateful night, examining the evidence, the suspects, and the trial in detail.
